Artistic Description/ Biography:  The Missouri Western Opera Theater consists of 10 vocal majors attending MWSU, majoring in music and who have auditioned for this select group. These talented singers perform as a touring company to area schools and city organizations in one act operas and music theater scenes. Upcoming events include two family friendly one act operas: 1.) Little Red Riding Hood and 2.)Monkey See, Monkey Do, on Saturday/Sunday, November 12th and 13th at 3 pm in Potter Hall on campus. Although only 35 minutes each, the music is challenging while the stories will appeal to audiences from age 3 to 100. These operas will be touring area schools and are available for community events. Eric Fuson, a faculty member from the Department of Art and art students designed and constructed sets as well as story inspired art projects for children who attend.
